Who home visits may suit

Dr. Kupferberg sees patients aged 16 and over. A home visit may make sense for people who find it hard to get to a clinic, for example:

• People whose breathing problems make it hard to leave home
• Older adults and people with limited mobility
• People recovering at home after an illness or a hospital stay

Where home visits are available, and how to ask

Home visits are available in the Jerusalem area and Gush Etzion, when needed and feasible. Whether a visit is possible depends on the medical need and on practical factors such as location and timing.

To ask about a home visit, send Dr. Kupferberg a WhatsApp message or an email saying where the visit would take place and why getting to a clinic is difficult.

If a home visit isn’t feasible, he can talk with you about other options, such as a video visit.

Breathing tests at home

Some breathing tests can be done at home. As in the clinic, spirometry is charged in addition to the consultation.

With portable equipment, Dr. Kupferberg can do:

• Spirometry, which measures how much air you can blow out and how fast
• Spirometry with a bronchodilator, repeated after you inhale a medicine that opens the airways
• Walking oximetry, which measures your oxygen level at rest and while walking

What happens during a home visit

A home visit follows the same approach as a clinic visit. Dr. Kupferberg takes the time to go over your symptoms and history, examines you, reviews your medications, inhalers and recent reports, and explains his assessment and the plan in plain language.

If you need further tests that can’t be done at home, he will explain which ones and how to arrange them.
